After years of using generic WordPress themes, it was time for Boxcutters to update its look with a bespoke theme.

Working with a design from Zepol, Soupgiant modernised the look of the site and provided a refresh of its content strategy to put the latest episode up front and increase article output.

Using mobile-first responsive web design techniques, the experience for mobile users has been improved with no cost to desktop users and no need for a separate mobile site.

They needed a website that would show examples of what they can produce while also giving a sense of the wonder of some of the printing and cutting machines that create 21st century printing.

We needed a gallery section that could provide plenty of examples to give clients ideas about what was now capable.

Kosdown also expressed interest in displaying videos that could show the new machines at work.

Thematically there was a lot to work with. New digital printers offer photorealistic results and combine white ink to produce effects never before seen in print. We created an animated background to display a sense of layering using white. The challenge was to produce a feeling of new possibilities and marketing print technologies on the screen.

AEIR’s site serves two distinct purposes: to provide organisational information to the general public and to provide a portal for members seeking resources.

Soupgiant provided a bespoke WordPress theme, with a gentle smattering of JavaScript goodness and enabled a “members’ only” area for the distribution of member newsletters and downloads.

We chose to build the site on Drupal to fit with the level of security required for an Australian Government supported website.

Of particular importance was the Online Support section, in which it was crucial that young people could feel safe, knowing that their conversations with the online counsellor were entirely private.

Soupgiant coordinated every aspect of the No Means No Show website, from early concepts, site planning and graphic design to the security, privacy and implementation of the Online Support section.

We used the talents of Christa Lopez at Zepol for the graphic design.

Working with a design from Reuten, Soupgiant developed the sites in WordPress MU to reduce upgrade times. This has the added advantage of allowing additional regions to be added without having to access the server.
